Lamune – 03

Summary:
Once again this episode starts off with Kenji and Nanami as children. They are in Nanami’s field and are arguing over who owes who. The story fastforwards to present as Hikari boards the early morning bus to Kenji’s house. On the way to school, Kenji sees a hermit crab on the beach and puts it into his backpack. In class, Kenji plays around with the hermit crab and gets bitten. After class, Kenji and Nanami goes out but is intercepted by Hatano, who wishes to pick up Hikari with them. Kenji and Nanami declines and sees Hikari at the school’s gate. Kenji then gets kicked as he puts the hermit crab on Hikari’s head. In the afternoon, Kenji goes to Nanami’s field and the two people remembers their “owing” system. That night, Kenji, Suzuka, Hikari, Nanami, and Hatano goes to play with fireworks on the beach. Kenji competes with Hatano when it came to the catch-the-bear-fireworks and catches the bear for Nanami. He defends himself by saying he did not catch it for her but wanted to beat Hatano. Nanami blushes as the group finishes the night by burning the spark fireworks.

Comments:
I thought this episode was going to be about their vacation, but appears that I was wrong. It seems that the intro for each episode (when Kenji and Nanami were kids) tells us a part of their relationship and how that relationship is valued in that specific episode. From now, this doesn’t look like an ecchi anime and I don’t see a clear conflict; everything seems to be just cruising along. As for this episode, the loli-Nanami is sooo cute (she’s cute in everyone of the episode) and kenji just looks like a snob. Also, how can Hatano like Hikari. She is like short and fugly *shivers*. Anyways, Kenji and Nanami got closer to each other again (seriously, they should just admit to each other). But Kenji still denies the fact that he likes Nanami. Next episode should be more interesting, as one more girl gets into the story. But it would be nice if the story can speed up (going extremely slow now).
